My educational background is as follows:
Postgraduate
Loughborough University
October 2015 – December 2018
PhD Plasma Engineering
Thesis Title: Microbubble-enhanced DBD plasma reactor for the treatment of organic solutions
Thesis synopsis: My work centered around an atmospheric pressure plasma reactor for the treatment of water-based solutions containing organics, typically biomass but also final wastewater effluent. The plasma produces a range of highly oxidative species including ozone which can be bubbled into a reaction tank to treat the solution. The aim was to develop a technology which by being low energy and efficient could rival that of more conventional systems. My day to day tasks involved;
- Reactor design and development.
- Offering consultancy advice on projects.
- Operating analytical equipment.
